Backloggd lives in the browser. Nook is a native iPhone and iPad app built around the same habit — logging what you play, and remembering it.
Backloggd has a genuinely good community, review culture and lists worth browsing, and Nook does not try to replace that. But there is no official Backloggd app on the App Store, so on a phone you are using a website in a browser: page loads between every action, layouts built for a mouse and a wide screen, no system controls, no widgets, nothing available when you are offline.
That is fine for browsing at a desk. It is poor for the thirty-second act of logging a session you just finished, which is when you actually want to reach for a tracker.
Nook is a native iPhone and iPad app for building a personal game library and keeping a record of how you actually played each game.
Nook was drawn for the current version of iOS from the first screen: native controls and system materials, real Dynamic Type support, a deliberate dark mode, fluid animation, and layouts made for one thumb on a large phone. It opens instantly, works without a connection, and stays responsive as your library grows.
A browser tab cannot do any of that, no matter how good the site behind it is. See the screenshots on the home page for the difference.

| Per-playthrough records | — | Yes |
| Smart and ranked collections | — | Yes |

Community size and review volume are left out on purpose: Backloggd is ahead there, and that is the honest reason to keep an account. It is not a reason to track on a website.
